Clearer practice, useful pattern controls and private feedback
Focus on the patterns that matter to you, practise questions that match your latest analysis, and follow your feedback privately. This update also improves move choices, Position Studio loading guidance and privacy during admin screen sharing. Public feedback summaries require separate setup and your permission.
Choose useful patterns
- Filter Leaks to the last seven days, a category or a specific pattern, with your choices preserved as you navigate. Personal-rule reminders are separate from chess patterns.
- Exclude or restore an individual rook-loss or queen-fork occurrence from pattern suggestions, with a reason such as an intentional trade or sacrifice. This records your preference; it does not declare the move correct.
- Suggestions and themed workouts respect those choices. Original detections, raw totals, independent engine-blunder practice and recorded attempts remain intact.
Clearer, more reliable practice
- Own-game drills explain the starting position and whose turn it is. After answering, optional diagrams show the original move and the engine-preferred alternative when legal move information is available.
- Generated questions must still match your current analysis. Reanalysis can remove an outdated question from practice, and feedback uses the current evaluation. Old questions and attempts stay in your history; replacement questions are not automatically regenerated yet.
- An open workout may restart when its supporting evidence or your pattern choices change. Previously recorded answers remain saved, even if the session’s displayed score restarts.
- In tactics and opening-line practice, the notation move picker stays open after an automatic reply while its legal choices update, making multi-move and keyboard practice easier.
Guidance and interface fixes
- Dashboard reminders follow your own minimum starting time and losing-streak settings. They are presented as personal rules rather than claims that a time control caused your mistakes.
- Position Studio shows loading guidance and a working reload link while the board starts, including when its scripts fail to load. This gives you a recovery option instead of an unexplained blank board.
- Admin user lists hide email addresses by default. Admins can reveal them deliberately, and navigation resets the hidden state to reduce accidental exposure during screen sharing.
Private feedback and the community hub
- Bugs & ideas saves your report privately in Gambit without needing a GitHub account. Return to My feedback to read your report and follow its status; only you and Gambit admins can read the original.
- For bugs and ideas, you can optionally allow an admin to prepare a separate, reviewed public summary. Your original report is not automatically copied to GitHub. Account and security reports stay private.
- The public community hub brings together player guides, the roadmap, public issues and discussions. Public GitHub posts are separate from private in-app reports.
- Publishing summaries from Gambit needs separate setup. Private reports and their history work without it. An Available status means an admin has verified deployment; a merged change or closed issue alone is not treated as available.
